Global Education Course CCE      Study Abroad CCE

Global Education Course CCE Important Facts

  • The moment you create an application, you will show up in our system.
  • All travel will take place during the semester you are taking the class. No travel will happen after the semester ends.
  • Course times are set prior to applications opening and are posted on the individual brochures. Make sure to save room in your schedule for this date and time. Listed course times are non-negotiable and course listings are not interchangeable.
  • Some Global Education Course CCEs have 60 hours of local volunteering THROUGHOUT the term in conjunction with the course.
  • CCS300 vs NCE - CCS300 are two-credit courses and NCE are four credit courses. To decide which one you are more interested ask yourself if you have room to take a four credit course and which locations you are most interested in.
  • Credits will be charged according to the semester the course portion is in.
  • Each CCE total cost is based off of a minimum number of students. If that minimum number of students is not met, the price of the trip may be adjusted to cover the cost of the students gap. If the cost increase is $100 or less, students will not be notified of the increase. If the cost of the trip increase is over $100, students will be notified of the increased cost. In this event, students will work with the CCE Advisor, Kiera Arnson, to determine the best course of action to complete their CCE requirement.
  • You can have two CCE applications (this includes both study abroad and Global Educaiton Course CCEs) active at the same time per term.  Click here for instructions on how to withdraw and apply to a different program.

 Acceptances for Global Education Courses
  • Acceptances do not begin until the weekday after applications close. Deadlines can be found here.
  • Acceptances are based first on class standing (accelerated majors are taken into consideration), and then by the date and time the application was submitted.
  • You must have all application items completed before you are able to submit it.
  • Students who have already completed a CCE and are electing to complete a second CCE will be considered last.
  • Acceptance emails will be sent to your CU email.

Global Education Course CCE Important Facts

  • Acceptances are on a rolling basis as long as the student meets the requirements of the study abroad program.

  • Students must submit a Transfer Credit Approval Petition on the Registrar’s Department page for tentative courses to enroll abroad.
  • Acceptances can sometimes happen after the CCE deadline, as long as the program still has room and students can submit required materials on time.
  • Students will need to fulfill two applications for study abroad: the CCE website for University approval, then apply to the program itself.
  • You can have two CCE applications (this includes both study abroad and Travel Course CCEs) active at the same time per term.  Click here for instructions on how to withdraw and apply to a different program.
