Financial Information

CCS300 and NCE Courses

The costs for CCE courses vary and generally include tuition, airfare, accommodations, admission fees and some meals.  Once a student has Financial Information Pagebeen accepted to an NCE or CCs course, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure a space in the course. The entire course cost must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the travel portion of the course.  Students may receive a CCE award (see below).

Scholarships

Students may also apply to outside scholarships. There is a scholarship link on the web page to help students find these opportunities. Students may also apply to scholarships through outside providers or organizations as well. Click here to go to the scholarship page.

Cross-Cultural Experiences Award

The Cross-Cultural Experiences (CCE) Award was established to support students participating in a cross-cultural experiences such as study abroad, NCE, CCS300 and other approved cross-cultural studies courses. All students are automatically considered for this award once applications are completed. There is no need to apply.  The award is based off of the expected family contribution which is calculated using the information a student inputs in FAFSA. 

Exchange Programs (Study Abroad)

Students selected to participate in an exchange program pay Carroll tuition and a study abroad fee of $350 for a semester or $150 for summer or winter. Students will receive their Carroll financial aid packages which includes Carroll University scholarships, and federal and state financial aid.  Students will pay room and board expenses to the host university directly.  Students may also receive a CCE award (see above).

Affiliated Programs (Study Abroad)

Students selected to participate in an affiliated program pay the affiliated program’s tuition and a study abroad fee of $350 for a semester or $150 for summer or winter. They may receive a portion of their Carroll financial aid packages (excluding Carroll University scholarships) and will pay room and board expenses to the host university. Contact the study abroad advisor in the OIE for more information on these programs.  Students may also receive a CCE award (see above).

Unaffiliated Programs (Study Abroad)

Students approved to participate in an unaffiliated program pay all program fees directly to the study abroad institution and a $350 study abroad semester fee or $150 for winter or summer to Carroll.  In some cases, students can use federal and state aid towards unaffiliated programs.  Contact the study abroad advisor in the OIE for more information on these programs.  Students may also receive a CCE award (see above).
