This course is characterized by a cross-cultural theme and an opportunity for student cultural experiences in Australia. The course includes an exploration of the cultural and physical geographies of Australia, focusing on both the amazing geological diversity and the plurality of cultures found there.

Points of interest included in the tour are:
  • Sydney, a major tourist and economic capital city of 4 million people
  • The Outback, including visits and activities with members of the Aboriginal community
  • Visits to Northern Territory sites including Uluru (formerly Ayers Rock), Kings Canyon, Alice Springs, Kakadu National Park, Arnhem Land, and Darwin
  • Sightseeing and snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef
